Support Hose Recommendations for Post-Sclerotherapy

It's a good idea to visit your local fitting center to obtain your support hose 7-10 days prior to your procedure.  Planning in advance will ensure the supplier has your size and style available.  You may want to "practice" putting on your hose so you'll be familiar with the fit and feel of the stockings.  Using a pair of professional donning gloves will make the whole ordeal of getting them on for the first time much easier.

Some physicians will recommend wearing the support hose for a few days after treatment and some recommend a few weeks or longer.  You will see added benefits from wearing your hose as much as possible during the healing process which may take up to 12 weeks.  If you stand or sit for long periods of time, you might consider supplementing your wardrobe with a few pair of good fitting, fashionable support stockings.
